FREE 2015-2016 Monthly Calendar for Kids

June 21, 2015 By: Liz

Are you looking for a 2015-2016 monthly calendar to use for the next school year? This one’s great for colouring, calendar time and as a reminder of special days throughout the year.

PLEASE NOTE: THE NEW 2017-2018 MONTHLY CALENDAR CAN BE DOWNLOADED HERE!

These are terrific free monthly calendars to use with your kids!

I received a question this week asking if I was going to create a new calendar for the next year (thanks Ashley). I did have it in the back of my mind but it hadn’t popped to the front. Then I realised people had been visiting the blog quite often in the past few weeks looking for the last calendar and obviously hoping I had a new one!

So here it is!

My last calendar runs from Jan 2015-Dec 2015 which is perfect for southern hemisphere children but not so much for all my northern readers!

I hope you take the opportunity to discuss issues such as water, kindness and peace when they pop up on the calendar. And you can also use the ‘fun’ days in your teaching or at home, too, such as Teddy Bear Day, Smile Day or Love Your Pet Day.

Of course you can add in any of your own occasions and perhaps your kids can draw a picture to symbolise their event in the same way I’ve used clipart for special days.

I’d love to hear about conversations that arise with your kids in relation to the special days so please leave a comment!

Did you download the 2015-2016 Monthly Calendar yet? If not, here’s the link again.

Editable version

I have had requests for an editable version of this calendar so if you’d like to be able to edit it you can find it in my Teachers Pay Teachers store.

Additional note: If you are hoping to use this calendar as a Christmas gift for parents this year (super idea, Valerie!) I’ll be posting a Jan-Dec 2016 calendar in late Nov/early Dec.

I wish you happy teaching and learning!

I’m glad you like it, Joan! I love making resources for early childhood when there are lots of spots for graphics to make events pop out for children.

Thank you SO much for this calendar! I’m trying to work out a schedule for my son who has been diagnosed with AD/HD and keeping him on schedule/task is so easy with this calendar!

Ashly, I’m so glad this calendar is helpful to you and your son. One of my children has ADD and I know what you’re talking about!!

    Hi Liz,

I love your sight and store and I have purchased several things. I was wondering if the calendar comes in an editable version? I would even be willing to purchase it, because it is so cute and would be great to use in my class.

    Thanks, Tracy Rushmer

Thanks for your question, Tracy. I haven’t made an editable version, but it’s an interesting idea. I’ll definitely have a think about the logistics of doing that.

Edit: I have created an editable version and the link can be found above.

That’s a great use for them, Lauren. I hope it helps your kids as they develop their self-regulation skills!
