Halloween Number Match with Pumpkins and Crows

September 3, 2016 By: Liz

Halloween and thanksgiving are just around the corner, so this pumpkin and crow-themed Halloween number match activity should get plenty of use!

This Halloween and Thanksgiving practice matching numbers 0-10 with these cute (free) pumpkins and crows!

Getting ready

Download the printable (below) and print off the activity in either colour or black and white. Cut around the crows and pumpkins and you’re ready to go.

Magnetise

For a bit more fine motor skill fun, laminate the crows and pumpkins and attach a small magnet on the back of each piece. Pop them on your fridge or use them on a metal baking sheet or small whiteboard.

Have fun counting and matching these pumpkin and crow numbers!

How to use these pumpkins and crows!

Ask your child to:

  • Match the numbers and dots.
  • Line the pumpkins and/or crows up in ascending and descending order.
  • Colour the black and white version to see a pattern such as odd and even numbers or colouring numbers 5 and 10.
  • OR alternate the pumpkins and crows to see the pattern. For example, make a number line using the pumpkins as odd numbers and the crows as the even numbers.
