If your kids are just learning to write their numbers it’s a great idea to encourage correct number formation right from the start. These free number formation cards are an easy way to get on top of this!
Easy to use
These cards make it quick and easy for kids to practice correct number formation. Simply download the free printable at the bottom of this post, print the pages onto card stock, cut to separate then laminate for long-term use.
Follow the number formation arrows
With any letter kids should start on the circled number one and follow the direction of the arrows. Then they can re-write the number below, constantly checking the example on the top of the page to ensure they’re writing correctly.
If they’re using erasable markers they should erase their work after they’re finished so the cards are ready to go the next time. Otherwise staple the pages together to make a 1-10 tracing book.
They also might like to use play dough on the top large numbers, and then trace the numbers below using a writing tool.
