Art Projects for Kids: A Halloween Witch’s Hat

October 21, 2015 By: Liz

I love the idea of taking a crafty-type activity and adapting it a little to create a piece of art. This Halloween Witch’s Hat uses lines and colour for effect, and because it’s 3-dimensional it becomes like a little sculpture. By the way, if you want to print the template so that these hats will actually fit on children’s heads you’ll need to enlarge it as much as you can. I prefer them as small artworks but there’s no reason why a child can’t wear a piece of art upon their head!

Create these lovely Witch's Hats as 3-D sculptures for your wall!

You can find other Halloween art projects here!

What you need for your Witch’s Hat

  • Witch’s Hat template (included in the downloadable resource sheet link below)
  • White paper or card to copy template.
  • Scissors and glue stick.
  • Thick black marker.
  • Bright watercolour paints
  • Paintbrush

How it’s done
