Having confidence with numbers 0-5 is a foundational building block and it’s important not to skim over it. Fluency within 5 leads to fluency within 10 and so on. This game is a quick and easy resource for working on addition and subtraction at the same time!
Putting it together

- Grab some counters, small objects for game board pieces and a die.
How to play
Players roll the die, move that number of spaces and then work out the answer to the question they landed on. Children can do mental math or use their fingers or counters to add and subtract. Players work their way around the board until they get to the end.
