Force and Motion Little Readers

January 26, 2018 By: Liz

Force and motion is a science topic children learn about very early in school life. Probably because it’s easy to experiment with! When I saw these graphics I simply had to make some little readers to add to our free LITTLE READER COLLECTION.

Learn about force and motion with these free little readers!

What is force and motion?

Force is basically pushing or pulling. There is gravity and magnets, but in these little readers we’re only using examples of physical force by using parts of our body or perhaps a bat.

Motion, of course, is what happens when force is applied!

Using these books

Please use these books as a catalyst for conversations about force and motion. They’re also a good opportunity to chat about safety and why we need to be careful in some force and motion-type situations. Force doesn’t just affect us, it also affects the people around us!

Chat about force and motion with your kids with these free little readers! In colour and black and white.

Prep needed

  • Download these free readers below.
  • Print off the colour or black and white versions
  • Assemble according to the instructions – just cut one slit into the paper and then fold into a little book with 8 pages.
  • Get reading (or colouring in)!

Chat about force and motion with your kids with these free little readers! In colour and black and white.
